Will I Look Fake With Filler? And Can It Be Removed If I Don’t Like It?

It’s such a common concern - and a valid one. Nobody wants to walk out looking like someone else. My philosophy is simple: fillers should support your natural features, never overpower them.
Why Fillers Don’t Have to Look Fake
“Fake-looking” results usually come from:
- Too much product
- Placing the wrong filler in the wrong area
- Chasing trends instead of respecting anatomy
When done thoughtfully, fillers should feel almost invisible - quietly restoring balance, structure, or softness, so you simply look like a fresher version of yourself.

- Prioritise harmony over volume

What If I Still Don’t Like It? Can It Be Dissolved?
This is the second most common question. The answer is yes - if we’re using hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers, they can be safely dissolved with an enzyme called hyaluronidase.
- Dissolving works within 24-48 hours.
- It can remove filler completely or just fine-tune an area.
- This reversibility is one reason HA fillers remain my go-to for under-eyes, and first-time patients.
What About Non-HA Fillers?
Other fillers such as PLLA, CaHA, and PCL are collagen-stimulating. These cannot be dissolved once placed, since their effect comes from encouraging your body to make new collagen.
- Adjustments are possible, but not instant.
- Careful planning and experienced technique are essential with these options.
